just reminded me that I forgot to mention Hamish "helping".
She was unloading the dishwasher with his assistence, carefully removing the sharps and leaving plastic for him to bring into the kitchen and load into whatever cupboard he could reach. It was all done, so she was unloading cutlery, looked up and saw that Hamish had removed the bottom rack (almost as big as he is) and lugged it into the kitchen. Desperately trying not to laugh and make it a good game, she encouraged him to put it back for the moment.
This goes into the same category as helping sweep the kitchen (and copping me one in the eye with the other end of the broom), helping weed the garden (removing anything green with gusto) and helping with the laundry (by taking clean clothes and dumping them into the washing basket).
