For me personally, I'm seeing much time spent at the beach... :)

Caveat - that the trains are running so that I can in fact get to said beach...

Yes, always a bit sad when you decide to hang out your washing at night time, knowing that it will still be dry in an hour.

And you're more inclined to do it at night... mosquito being better than heat stroke.

I have a bunch of reading to do tonight/tomorrow and then I have to present a summary and do a round-table discussion Tuesday after lunch. Joy. It's great to know it's going to be a day I'll enjoy being out and about. Not. D:

The highest it will get in my sleepy japanese town is 11! They say it may snow and there is ice all over the ground. My ass knows the ice well, they are very good friends

Well, that settles it. I'm not leaving the building at work until it's time to leave.

Except, possibly, for Psych appointment. Oh god. Southbank to East Melbourne in 39C heat. That's going to be fun...

arghb!!! Isn't there some OH&S thing where if it's over a certain temperature you don't actually have to go to work???

Although I think it's probably 50 degrees or something :/
27th-Jan-2009 01:31 am (UTC)
40 degrees from memory though im not sure
27th-Jan-2009 01:33 am (UTC)
Yeah that's what I thought.. although I guess it's the temperature IN the workplace, not outside!

Monash used to have a thing that at 30deg you got ten mins an hour off, and the for each degree another 10 mins - at 35C (inside the office), it was go home time.

Now its "at the discretion of your superviser"
