Although Hamish is home with us now, I paradoxically have less to say :-) Basically the day is split into 3 or 4 hour chunks... check to see if he needs changing, put food in him, put him down to sleep and try to achieve something in the 90 mins or so before we get back to the start. Once a few week have gone past and we can let him sleep until he's hungry, that might stretch out to 6 hour blocks.
He's getting better with each feed, working out what he has to do. I'm baffled by the fact that he can manage to suck my fingers, his fingers, the bottle and the rug, but he screams at nipples. My debugging instincts keep kicking in and the only difference I can see is that he's horiztonal and on his side, but I suspect it has absolutely nothing to do with logic :)
I got to go out today. ooooo. And take my car to the mechanic. Damn. The muffler has broken into a wide bit and a tube bit, and this is not good. Its getting repaired quickly tho, which is good. Hopefully this will be the last of things to go wrong for a while (maybe tacomonkey
absorbed some of it with her fridge failing). It did mean time out in the sun tho, which was lovely.
I am toying with the idea of going back to work a day or two next week, just to keep my hand in, and to spread the leave I have out a bit. I need to document some stuff anyway, before anyone else could look at it and not lose their mind.
I took 5 shot, and each one he was pulling his face all funny:
