Everything is still normal. No one has snuck in during the night and stolen the baby from inside goldengrove, despite the lack of any sort of modern security system preventing this from happening. She won't even let me install cameras at the only entrance - so if anyone breaks in, I think she should be held complicit.

goldengrove has had injections to keep her mutant blood from killing her during the birth - to our mutual amusement, these are called anti-D injections, which is also accurate.

Other than that... everything is digustingly normal. 6 weeks to go. goldengrove is yelling "cook quicker" at her belly and no longer has any control over when she sleeps.

This weekend, the plan is to rearrange the house so as to create the baby room. Horrors, it is becoming more real.

Isn't the hulking Anglo Saxon sleeping beside Liz enough of a security measure against baby thieves? :D

Also, if you're concerned that there isn't enough drama with all the "disgustingly normal" reports, wait until after the birth and the times where you haven't slept for more than six hours a night for half a year, then you'll be pleading for "disgustingly normal" :D

But really, I am wishing you guys all the very best; it is an absolute pleasure to read about the updates, yay!

Nup, I got fired from tiger-protection duties so that Liz doesn't have to climb over me to get out of bed any more.

Oh, we're all for the normal. More normal is welcome. :)

You could always just sit by the door with a spear then, making sure that you sneak away before she wakes up.

Yay for bell-curve conforming spawn :D

I'm the king of the bellcurve, and you're a dirty rascal :)... nope, not quite the same ring.

That's because it's "King of the castle" ... Is that just some serious nesting syndrome you've got going on there?

We had the baby room ready by the time the baby was... um... four? So, yeah, good luck with that! ^_^

*laugh* Right, well, "ready" might be overstating the situation.

established, maybe

One thinks that protection against breaking in may well be closing the gate after the horse has bolted... :-)

And Ms L, you don't want it to cook quicker - they just end up soft in the middle that way :-)

Mutant blood??
19th-Aug-2008 12:56 am (UTC)
Despite us having the same main blood group, Liz is Rh negative.

Yay! Babies are fun - Especially when you can give them back when they cry and smell bad. :-) Good luck!
