brilliant
I finally got a new bike to replace the death bike ... hooray.

Its an apollo independant, 24 gears, disc brakes, front shocks. There are some teething issues but I'm hoping most of them are me getting used to a different bike (although one of the issues is the changers - who thought that having the same lever change up at the front with the left lever and change down at the back with the right lever was a good idea. Muh.)

So hopefully less death now. Thanks to all who gifted me with the cash to purchase it ;) ($888 with lights, different seat & helmet fwiw).

I once had a bike come apart on me while I was riding. I was about 5 or 6. Thankfully, I was with my dad who was able to ride home on his bike, get his toolkit, and screw it back together.

Yay for handy dads!

And yay for a new bike :-)

Heh, there was a bike back when i was studying at uni that broke in half literally as I was riding up Wellington Rd... the bottom bar snapped off at the headstand.

Shiny!

And of course, as we all know, red ones go faster!

yeah, well spotted. Plastic pedals + bigfatass = life span of maybe 6 months is my guess.

*grin* And we all know what a slave to fashion I am. They definately need to colour coordinate.
